Keep on Swimming wasstarted in 2004 by Ashley Brear while she was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, as a way to help raise moneyfor cancer research and support for people with cancer and their families. She decided on the name Keep on Swimming after watching the movie Finding Nemo. One of the characters in the movie, Dory says "What do you do when life gets you down? Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming." This became Ashley's motto for getting through her treatment. Ashley passed away in April 2006 and we continue Keep on Swimming in honour of her and all those that fight this disease.
